Working with the Society
Volunteering with an organisation promoting the arts and sport through a unique Olympian history.

If you are looking to volunteer with a local organisation involved with the arts, sports, maintaining the heritage of Much Wenlock, or promoting the wider work of the Society, we would be delighted welcome you.

Wenlock Olympian Society relies totally on volunteers and the financial support of our donators.  There are several facets to our activities, which include:

  • Organising and running the Olympian Games Live Arts events in March
  • Organising and running the Olympian Games Sports events, mainly in June and July
  • Promoting the events and providing outreach to raise awareness of the unique history of the Wenlock Olympian Games and its involvement with the modern Olympic Games.

Your involvement can be from a day a year to throughout the year and across many roles, including – marshalling, setting up for the Games, helping visitors, explaining the history, helping organise events, publicity, public relations and education services.

If you would like to talk to someone about getting involved, please email the Society on info@wenlock-olympian-society.org.uk and we will contact you.

If you would like to become a member of the Society please contact Melinda Laws on membership@wenlock-olympian-society.org.uk
